1. to know how to use if unreal conditionals (the past, present and future tenses) 2. to learn how to use if unreal conditionals in their life 3. to encourage students to try to write poems using subjunctive mood 二． Teaching process：

Step 1: Lead- - in
Listen to a song, If I Were a Boy, to introduce the topic in this class. Definition: Unreal conditionals are used to talk about situations that are not true or not likely to become true.
Step 2: Doing some exercises to get more fa miliar with subjunctive mood.
一． Unreal present:
If I were a boy, I would go swimming in the river.
If I were a husband, I would buy whatever my wife chose. If I were a student, I would take part in our school’s sports meeting Question: What would you do if you were a boy/girl/...?
